Won 36-0

We met London Business School on a miserably wet day in Regent’s Park. Turgid rugby looked like it was going to be the order of the day as we led 7-0 at half time courtesy of a James Capel try and pinpoint touchline conversion from Ben Nott. It was a classic rearguard effort as we repelled a side with an Argentine international (allegedly), having limited territory and holding them up over the line. However, the game broke up in the second half as LBS’s large squad worked against them, replacing some of their more effective players. Despite having no replacements, we managed to avoid injury and fatigue to run out 36-0 winners, the highlight being a storming run from the halfway line by Tom Atkins almost rewarding him with a much deserved try. An excellent victory to start off the season.
